Welcome to Senior Success!
Top 3 Things To Know:
1. You can complete your lessons out of order in Senior Success
2. You need to complete at least 2 of the 3 portfolios in the course, along with your lessons & quick checks, to pass the course.
3. This course is graded as Pass or Fail.  There will not be a letter grade listed on your transcript, but it will show as P or F. 


Portfolio Information
Students need to complete at least 2 of the 3 assigned portfolios, along with the assigned Quick Checks, to earn a passing grade in the course.  All 3 portfolios will be helpful to your future, though!

  • Unit 3, Lesson 2: Comparing Colleges
    • Alternative: Compare 2-3 careers of interest

  • Unit 3, Lesson 3: Complete a College Application
    • Alternative 1: Complete an application for a job
      • ​You can find a sample application in this folder titled "Standard Application for Employment."
    • Alternative 2: Submit proof that you have applied for a job that you already have (photo of name badge or uniform, etc)
    • Alternative 3: Attend an in-person or virtual college tour. Submit a paragraph to the Dropbox about your experience.

    • Alternative 4: Create a future focused vision board
    • Alternative 5: Interview a parent/guardian/trusted adult about their career and how they got to their current position. Submit a paragraph about what you learned.
    • Alternative 6:​​ Call an admission's rep at a college of interest to ask questions about their school. Submit a paragraph about what you learned.
 
  • Unit 6, Lesson 3: Writing a Resume
    • Check this folder for resume templates
    • Alternative Option: Create a LinkedIn Profile and submit an image of your profile, that includes your education history, employment/volunteer history, and skills.

Senior Year Checklist for MNCA
  • ​Review your high school transcript frequently
  • Ensure that you are taking the correct courses and meeting MNCA's graduation requirements
  • Update your post high school plan by filling out your College Admissions Overview Data View or by sending a webmail to your School Counselor​
  • Maintain teacher contact
  • Complete your Application for Diploma Data View
