Community Scholarship Resources to Check
- Check with parent/guardians’ place of employment. Many companies have scholarship opportunities for employees’ children.
- Check local high school counseling websites. High schools will typically list scholarship opportunities available for students in that area.
- Check with local businesses and organizations (American Legion, Rotary, Lion’s Club, Chamber of Commerce).
- Check financial aid webpages for colleges of interest to find out if additional forms need to be completed in order to be considered for school scholarship opportunities.
- Check with organizations that the student is a part of (volunteer opportunities, religious organizations, Girl/Boy Scouts, 4-H, etc.).
